Kay is the Vein Center Coordinator. She guides patients in setting up appointments, instructs them on the requirements that insurance companies need prior to submitting for approvals for vein procedures. She works closely with the providers to be sure all needs are met prior to submitting to insurance. Kay enjoys working at Surgical Associates and caring for people.

She also enjoys spending time with her family, camping, lifting weights and walking.

Katie is the phone triage nurse and handles patient questions and concerns.

She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing. Katie is also a Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse. She has over 10 years of experience in the medical profession with the last 4 years assisting the patients of Surgical Associates. Previously she worked at Aspirus Wausau Hospital as a Registered Nurse on the Surgical Care Unit.

Katie and her husband Lance reside in Wausau. She enjoys traveling with family and friends and spending time with her dog, Daisy.

Ginger is a Registered Vascular Technologist who joined the Surgical Associates family in 2001 with a shared vision and desire to develop an accredited vascular lab that is committed to offering patients convenient, high quality vascular exams with continuity of care in mind. The lab is accredited by the IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) in Extracraniel, Arterial and Venous testing.

I originally was born and raised in the greater Wausau area.  I lived in Oklahoma and Minnesota for several years and trained horses before I went back to school and graduated from NTC in 2012 as a Registered Nurse. I spent 5 years working in long term care facilities and then transitioned to Surgical Associates as a General Surgery Triage Nurse. I am married and have two children. My husband and I own a hobby farm and I enjoy the outdoors, playing softball and dartball, riding horses, and watching the NFL.

Theresa Napiwocki, Bariatric Coordinator

Theresa loves working with all of the bariatric patients. She guides them through all of the visits that are required, works with the insurance companies for coverage for surgery, and schedules surgery once approval is obtained. There is the “go to” person for any and all questions regarding weight loss surgery.

Theresa has been working at Surgical Associates for 10 years and loves the challenges that the medical field continues to bring forth. She enjoys camping with her husband and two Boston Terriers, snowmobiling, downhill skiing, cross-stitching, and watching movies.
