New nurse practitioner broadens offered services and allows more patients to seek advanced vascular services in the area
Surgical Associates, S.C. is pleased to announce the addition of nurse practitioner Amanda Pisco to its team of vascular surgery specialists. She is seeing patients at the Aspirus Iron River Clinic (814 South Ice Lake Road) and the Aspirus Hurley Clinic (501 Granite Street).
A native of Ironwood, MI, Pisco earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN and holds several certifications: Wound Care Certification, CNOR (Certified Nurse of the Operating Room) – licensed in MI and WI. She has more than five years of professional experience in surgery and wound care and maintains active affiliations with AANP and WCC. Pisco previously worked as the perioperative services manager at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital for 10 years prior to becoming a nurse practitioner.
At Surgical Associates, Pisco will care for patients using a comprehensive approach to diagnose and treat a wide range of vascular conditions. She is an expert in the medical management and surgical treatment of dialysis access options, varicose veins, carotid disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms, peripheral artery disease, chronic and acute wounds, and skin issues.
