Anna Wicklund, N.P., to also play key role in the development of group’s new “Longevity Clinic”
WAUSAU, WI – Surgical Associates, S.C. is thrilled to announce the addition of Anna Wicklund, N.P., to its Aesthetics/Plastic Surgery team. Wicklund has been specializing in aesthetics and facial rejuvenation in North Central Wisconsin for three years, treating patients with Botox injections and other cosmetic care.
Wicklund joins plastic surgeon Dr. Alexey Markelov and aesthetician Julie Kubat of Surgical Associates and Elevé MedSpa, expanding the reach of her services to more local communities throughout North Central Wisconsin. In addition to Stevens Point, Wisconsin Rapids and Rhinelander, Wicklund will be seeing patients every Friday at Aspirus Woodruff Clinic, ready to care for those starting their weekend “up north.”
“While I specialize in plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as facial aesthetics, I enjoy treating patients holistically, ensuring their mind, body and soul are optimized to their fullest potential,” explained Wicklund. “Helping patients achieve an inner sense of well-being, increase self-esteem and improve their quality of life are priorities for me.”
Wicklund earned her bachelor’s of science degree in nursing at Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI and her master’s of science degree in nursing, family nurse practitioner at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, WI. She is an active member of the Wisconsin Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, and International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses.
Wicklund will also work closely with the surgeons at Surgical Associates to develop a “Longevity Clinic” in Wausau to help promote maximum physical and mental well-being among patients. The program includes a personal assessment that reveals a patient’s “biologic age,” a unique approach to health care that will be the first of its kind in the Wausau region. Surgical Associates plans to open the clinic to patients within the next few months.
