  • Young Survival Coalition (YSC) is the premier organization dedicated to the important issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer. YSC offers resources, connections and outreach so women feel supported, empowered and hopeful.
  • The Susan G. Komen® national website, offers detailed information about breast cancer risk factors, early detection and screening, diagnosis and treatment. Developed with the Harvard School of Public Health, the site offers a one-stop resource for all the latest information on the disease.
  • Since 2011, Breast Cancer Answers has supported the journey of breast cancer patients by providing many answers to the difficult questions that come with diagnosis. With nearly 2,000 videos featuring leading experts in research, BCA educates women and families on all aspects of breast cancer, from the medical facts to life after survival, and much more.
  • National Comprehensive Cancer Network empowers you to make informed decisions at each step of your cancer journey. The NCCN Guidelines for Patients® and NCCN Quick Guide™ sheets are based on the same treatment information your doctors use and help you talk to your doctor about the best treatment options for your disease.
  • American Cancer Society provides resources to help you and your loved ones manage your lives through treatment and recovery, and get the emotional support you need. In addition to American Cancer Society programs and services, they can also help connect you to other free or low cost resources from other organizations in our area.
  • If you or a loved one are worried about developing breast cancer, have just been diagnosed, are going through breast cancer treatment, or are trying to stay well after treatment, the American Cancer Society can provide detailed information and help you find the answers you need.

Local Resources for Breast Cancer Survivors:

  • YMCA: Life Beyond Cancer LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program. A free 12-week small group exercise program designed for cancer survivors.
  • Pink Ribbon Mastectomy Boutique. A full service, post mastectomy boutique devoted to helping women who have had breast cancer surgery. A professional staff of American Board for Certification certified mastectomy and lymphedema fitters aim to help women with personal consultation and custom fitting for specialized bras, wigs, and prostheses. They also provide a selection of breast cancer preparation and recovery products.
  • Keeping appointments is important to patients. If you have problems getting to appointments, The American Cancer Society has a program called Road to Recovery where volunteers drive patients to and from appointments.
