Surgical Associates, S.C., Central Wisconsin’s largest private surgical practice, is pleased to announce that vascular surgeon Dr. Kevin Schoepel is now seeing patients at the Aspirus Riverview Clinic Adams on 419 N. Oak Street in Adams, Wisconsin.
The move expands Surgical Associates’ vascular care in Central Wisconsin and provides patients in the Adams area a local site for discussing treatment options. Dr. Schoepel’s specialties include abdominal aortic aneurysms, varicose veins, dialysis access, peripheral artery disease, and carotid artery disease.
“I joined Surgical Associates in 2019 because I believe they are on the forefront of vascular surgery in the state of Wisconsin, providing state-of-the-art endovascular solutions that minimize patient downtime,” explained Dr. Schoepel. “In my 17 years of practice, taking care of the rural, elderly population’s vascular issues proved to be the most rewarding. In collaboration with the Aspirus Hospital System, my position at Surgical Associates is an opportunity to provide care to a large, underserved population in Wisconsin and Michigan.”
Prior to his move to Surgical Associates, Dr. Schoepel spent a decade as a general and vascular surgeon in Bemidji, Minnesota. He then relocated to La Crosse, Wisconsin to practice vascular surgery at Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center.
Dr. Schoepel earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School and completed his general surgery residency at New Hanover Regional Hospital. He is board certified in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery and is fellowship trained from the University of Virginia.
Dr. Schoepel will be seeing patients in Adams every other Wednesday from 9AM – 3PM. He also provides outreach services at Aspirus Riverview Clinic in Wisconsin Rapids.
